DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION
In terms of....
Human and social dimensions of development:
Social development encompasses a commitment to individual well-being and volunteerism, and the opportunity for citizens to determine their own needs and to influence decisions which affect them. Social development incorporates public concerns in developing social policy and economic initiatives. The relevancy of the development administration with human and social dimensions of development is; it will foster social cohesion as well as improving the environment and the quality of life of the population. It strengthens & enriches the society by improving educational opportunities and making improvements to healthcare.
Eg: E- government system in Malaysia. It is medium for the people to connect and link them to the government.
Economic development:
Economic development refers to the improvement in a variety of indicators such as literacy rates, life expectancy and poverty rates. It relates to the development administration through the improvement of living standards and reduces unemployment. It is also as effort that seeks to improve the economic well- being and quality of life for community by creating and retaining jobs and supporting or growing income and tax base.
Eg:
1) The disaster fund that has been established to collect the fund for those who are affected with disaster happened.
2) Human Resource Ministry had provide the job vacancy website to help those who are still looking for the job suit to them to reduce unemployment.
Political development:
Political development is the development of the institutions, attitudes, and values that form the political power system of a society. It relates to enhance the state's capacity to mobilize and allocate resources to process policy inputs into implementable outputs.
Eg:
1) Previously, the politic agendas are monopolized by the men but nowadays it seems to have more participation of women in politics.
2) The consciousness among the society regarding the politics by choosing the best representative in order to voice out their demands. Now, we can see that there are more and more and more representatives that come from the opposition parties in parliament.
Public Administration Development (PAD):
Public administration is a field that comprises many mechanisms to administer the development administration. It gives special attention to investigate of the management of all phases of public policy formulation and implementation which have an interest and importance beyond a particular government and state.
Eg: Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM). This commission exists to eradicate the bribery and corruption among the society, government servants and also........Pak Lah's cabinet...?????.........=P
