hye guys..
these are our answer...=D
THE CURRENT DEVELOPMENT THEME..
We think the most appropriate theme this decade is MENTAL REVOLUTION.
Mental involving the mind or an intellectual process.
Revolution refer to a fundamental change in the way of thinking about or visualizing something.
Mental Revolution is directed at changing us into a dynamic people, and a community with high aspirations, striving hard to compete in development and seizing advancement in all area of life in our own country and in the world.
We choose mental revolution because, each individual must first develop themselves and achieve mental revolution to administer, participate and cooperate to develop the country.
In terms of Political Value..
The current situation in Malaysia show that the increasing of the political awareness among society. The society nowadays can be seen much more matured and being good decision makers in choosing the suitable political parties to be on their behalf. For example, more opposition parties sitting in the Parliament.
Other than that, the level of awareness and participation among old folks in politics are increasing. The best example that prove this statement is, the come up of one 'mak cik' that represent Parti Bebas, named Maimun Yusof,89 from Kuala Terengganu..This show how her mentality has sense of revolution.
In the government side, mental revolution can be seen through the appointment of Senators at Dewan Negara. They choose the senators whose come from other field other than economy and politic. For example, the appointment of Dato' Jins Samsudin who is glamor and handsome actor. Another Senator appointed was Senator Professor Dato' Dr. Ismail Salleh who is a blind man.
In terms of Economic Value..
The decision of government of Malaysia to export and emerge the local products to the international market. For example, Proton has been exported to Iran and get a good respond from the local Iran people. Besides showing the maturity of the government in this activity, it also shows to the world outside that we have stable economy to produce and export the car to the other country.
The other situation is the commercial of 'kerapu' and 'kelah' to international market like Hong Kong and China. We have become the largest producer and exporter for them. This also can be the alternatives to the entrepreneur to commercialize their product, hence to increase their monthly income.
In terms of Social Value..
The education revolution emerged the government capability and mentality to give the best educational institution to the students in Malaysia and around the world.
The government of Malaysia has in planning to introduce a university that ranked similar to the Oxford University called APEX University by replacing USM. This higher institution will get budget and expert from the outside.
On the other hand, the government needs an “education revolution” in the quest to have a world-class education to produce talented human capital in an increasingly global and competitive environment. This education revolution is to ensure that our aspirations to instill a new performance culture in the public and private sectors are not crippled by our inability to nurture a new kind of human capital that is equal to the tasks and challenges ahead.
The next answer for the next question are...
The role of foreign aid is to promoting the development of the unsecured country. There are the impact of the foreign aid to the development of the country.
Firstly, foreign aid helps greatly to increase life expectancy and reduce fertility rates around the world. By getting security of foreign aid, it can help to create economy opportunities and invested in human capital, then the chance of conflict maybe reduce.
Foreign aid generally transferred to the government of those countries, which tends to increase government power, resources and securing the rest of society. Foreign aid can sustained government to achieve counterproductive political and economic policies.
For example, the United States has been very generous when humanitarian disasters have occurred in various parts of the world. Such crises may be caused by natural disasters, political instability, or civil conflict which may create large flows of refugees. Foreign aid can do little to prevent earthquakes, but it can lessen the severity of droughts and famine by encouraging better farming methods and developing and employing drought resistant strains of crops. Similarly, foreign aid may be able to reduce the incidence of civil conflict by helping to create more economic opportunity in developing countries.
From our opinion, the government can still comply with the rules put by the borrower if the borrower agree that the foreign aid can help provide public goods in developing countries. Why we say so??? It is because, the government should realize the advantages and opportunities given by the borrower is for the sake of the country as long as they do not oppress by cruelty to us. The agreement must show that the borrower can help the country to develop well without any excuses as mentioned in the agreement.
A part from that, we must concern about the interest that imposed by the borrower. The interest must be reasonable and suit with the capabilities of that country to pay back..
